Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how MiHub collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects personal information.

1. Information We Collect
Account information: your first and last name, username, and email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from them (Apple may give us a private relay address instead). MiHub signs you in with one-time codes sent to your email, so we do not keep a password.
Information you choose to add: a phone number for bookings, the province and city you type (we never use your device location), a profile photo and cover photo, and your hobbies.
Content you create: meets, products and photos you post for a hub, meet joins and bookings, and the messages you exchange with a hub in chat.
Payment proof: when a hub asks to be paid before it approves a booking or a place in its meet, you may send a screenshot of your payment, its reference and the amount. MiHub never handles your money and never collects card or bank details — you pay the hub directly.
Safety: reports you make about a hub, meet, product or person, and hubs you block or that block you.
Activity: hubs you follow, meets you save, and meets you open, which we use for counts and to show what is popular.
Device and technical information: a push notification token if you allow notifications, and request logs — IP address, device and app details, and what was requested — kept for security and to fix problems.
We do not collect your device location, contacts, calendar, date of birth, government ID, or search history, and we do not use analytics, crash-reporting or advertising tools.
2. How We Use Information
To create and run your account and sign you in, including sending one-time codes and account emails.
To run MiHub: showing profiles, meets, hubs and products; letting you join meets, book hubs and chat with them; and sending notifications about join answers, bookings, messages and payment requests.
To show you what matters first: meets and hubs matching your hobbies, the hubs you follow, and those near the city you entered.
To keep MiHub safe: reviewing reports, enforcing blocks, preventing fraud and abuse, and enforcing our Terms of Service.
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell your personal information.
3. Who Sees Your Information
Other people on MiHub see your name, username, profile and cover photos, and that you are going to a meet. Your email address, phone number, city and hobbies are not shown on your profile.
A hub sees what you share with it: your chat messages, your bookings and requests to join its meets, and any payment screenshot you send it. Only that hub's Owners and Managers can open them, and payment screenshots through links that expire after an hour.
Verified hubs use MiPOS, MiHub's point-of-sale system. When you book a verified hub, or take a paid place in its meet, the hub receives an order with your name, email address and phone number so it can serve you. That order is part of the hub's own business records.
Reports are seen only by MiHub's administrators, never by the person or hub reported. When you block a hub, that hub can see it is blocked.
Meets and products a hub posts are public to everyone on MiHub.
4. Service Providers
We use service providers that process information only on MiHub's behalf: DigitalOcean for hosting, the database and stored photos; Redis for queues and live updates; Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications; Google and Apple for signing in with their accounts; and an email delivery provider for one-time codes and account emails.
Some of these providers process information outside the Philippines. Where personal information is transferred or processed outside the Philippines, MiHub takes the measures required under applicable law to protect it.
We may disclose information when required by law, court order or lawful government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety or security of people or of MiHub.
5. Legal Bases
MiHub processes personal information to perform our agreement with you (running your account and the features you use), on our legitimate interest in keeping MiHub secure and preventing abuse, to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent where consent is needed — for example, push notifications, which you can turn off in your device settings at any time.
6. Retention and Account Deletion
We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account. Without the app, see mihubapp.com/delete-account.
When you delete your account, we delete your account and profile, your profile and cover photos, your sessions and push tokens, notifications, hobbies, follows and saves, meet joins and invites, meets you organised, your chats, and the payment screenshots you sent, including from storage. Places you held and upcoming bookings are given up first, so the hubs are told.
We keep only: a one-way hash of your email address, which cannot be turned back into it and only stops a deleted account being re-opened automatically; request logs, no longer linked to you; and the records a verified hub keeps in its own MiPOS (orders and receipts), which belong to that business.
Copies in our encrypted database backups are removed as those backups expire, within 30 days of deletion.
7. Security and Device Storage
Everything between the app and MiHub travels encrypted (HTTPS and secure WebSocket). Payment screenshots and chat pictures are stored privately and opened only through short-lived links. Access to our systems is restricted and logged. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
The app stores your sign-in session, theme and similar settings, and cached pictures on your device. This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 you have the right to be informed, to access your personal information, to correct it, to object to processing, to have it erased or blocked, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
You can correct most information yourself in the app under Profile → Settings → Account. For anything else, email privacy@mihubapp.com. We may need to confirm the request comes from your account before acting on it.
9. Children
MiHub is not directed at children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact privacy@mihubapp.com and we will delete it.
10. Updates and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy when MiHub or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you in the app about material changes.
For questions, privacy requests or complaints, contact MiHub at privacy@mihubapp.com or support@mihubapp.com.
